The ENIRDELM network and the Network of Education Policy Centres (NEPC),
in collaboration with the University of Rijeka,
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Department of Pedagogy, are joining forces to organize the
33rd ENIRDELM and 9th NEPC Primary Colors of Education Conference
‘Collaborative Leadership for Resilient Educational Institutions’
in Rijeka, Croatia 25-28 September 2025.
About the conference
The conference theme is driven by the growing challenges that schools, educational institutions and systems worldwide face. These challenges, including natural hazards, climate change, environmental degradation, political instability, and economic downturns, are not confined to a specific region but have a global impact. They have affected the physical safety of students and staff, their emotional well-being, and the continuity of learning worldwide.
School leaders play a pivotal role in creating environments that foster academic success while addressing the psychological impacts of crises. Their efforts in promoting a culture of care and support within the school community are invaluable and integral to the education system. The upcoming conference on Collaborative Leadership for Resilient Educational Institutions will address the urgent need to develop resilient education systems in response to an increasingly complex global landscape.
The conference aims to provide educators with the scientific tools, evidence-based strategies, and theoretical insights to foster adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable learning environments. The primary focus will be on the role of school leaders in enhancing institutional resilience, particularly in the face of crises and rapid change. It will showcase global research and practices where successful resilience-building approaches have been implemented, offering a platform for exchanging knowledge between researchers, school leaders, and policymakers.
