To reach Trsat from the city center by public transport, you can take bus line 2 or bus line 8. Both lines connect the city center with the Trsat campus area and run frequently throughout the day. ABOUT RIJEKA

GETTING TO RIJEKA
By Air
Rijeka International Airport offers limited flights to European cities. A shuttle bus connects the airport to the city center (Jelačić Square, platform 5). One-way fare: €15.

Alternatively, the nearest major airport is Zagreb (Franjo Tuđman Airport), approx. 2h 15m from Rijeka.
There is a direct shuttle bus from Zagreb Airport to Rijeka, which departs daily at 15:30. The bus returns from Rijeka to Zagreb at 05:00 (Jelačić Square). For more information, visit website: https://plesoprijevoz.hr/
Regular shuttle buses operate from Zagreb Airport to the Zagreb Central Bus Station, where you can transfer to a bus to Rijeka. For departure times and ticket information, please consult the Zagreb Bus Station website: www.akz.hr.
By Car
If you’re travelling from Zagreb to Rijeka by car, the most convenient and fastest route is via the A1 and A6 motorways. From Zagreb, take the A1 motorway in the direction of Karlovac. At the Bosiljevo 2 interchange, merge onto the A6 motorway towards Rijeka. Follow the A6 until you reach Rijeka.

WEATHER
Rijeka climate is Humid subtropical, with warm summers and relatively mild and rainy winters. Warmest month is August with average temperature between 18.6° and 28.1°C. Coldest month is January with temperatures between 2.9° and 9.1°C. The climate is also characterized by frequent rainfall. Month with highest rainfall is October.
